Rovinj
Sport climbing in a former Venetian quarry on the Zlatni rt (Punta Corrente) peninsula, just south of Rovinj in Istria. 150 bolted routes from grade 3 to 7a+, 5-16 m tall, all on vertical limestone without steep overhangs. The easy grades are technical footwork climbs; the harder lines are crimpy with a single hard move. The sectors follow the shoreline under pine forest, so you can pick sun or shade.
Limski kanal
Sport climbing on south-facing limestone above the Lim fjord (Limski kanal) in Istria, inside a protected nature reserve. Five sectors hold over 100 routes from 4b to 8c. Krugi (5b-8c) and Horoskop (10-16 m, 4c-7a) are a short walk from the road; Šimije and Kloštar take longer to reach.

Vinkuran
Sport climbing in an old quarry at Vinkuran, just south of Pula, whose stone was used for the city's Roman amphitheatre. Walls face every direction, so there is sun or shade in any season. The natural wall is mostly overhanging with pockets and jugs; the cut walls rely partly on manufactured or glued holds. Roughly 45-50 routes, 5a-8a.
Sveta Katarina
If you are visiting Istria, Sveta Katarina is a perfect rest day spot that offers DWS climbing as well as cliff jumping. The routes are up to 12m high and the difficulty goes up to 7a+.
